Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2024 Honda Odyssey?
The NHTSA database lists 48 recall entries across multiple components that affect Odyssey-model vehicles. Key areas include rear seats, fuel tank assemblies, engine components, transmission items, airbags, door latches, backup camera systems, and electrical wiring. Many recalls address safety risks such as unlocked or sliding second-row seats, fuel leaks, engine stalls, and inoperative cameras; Nalley Honda can confirm which campaigns apply to your VIN.
How do I check if my 2024 Honda Odyssey has an open recall?
You can check recalls by entering your VIN at NHTSA.gov or bring your vehicle to Nalley Honda and we will check for free. We recommend owners call or visit so our service team can verify open campaigns and advise next steps; you can schedule appointment online for a VIN check. Nalley Honda will confirm any NHTSA recall and outline the free corrective action, including parts and labor covered by the manufacturer.
How much does a 2024 Honda Odyssey recall repair cost?
Manufacturer recall repairs are free of charge to the vehicle owner. Honda covers required parts and labor for all recall campaigns; Nalley Honda performs the work at no cost and files the claim with Honda on your behalf. If additional non-recall repairs are requested, our service team can discuss costs and available service financing to pay over time.
Can I get my 2024 Honda Odyssey recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs must be completed by a certified dealership to ensure OEM parts and manufacturer procedures are used. Independent shops cannot always access factory parts, technical service bulletins, or submit warranty/recall claims in the same way a franchise dealer can; for your safety and warranty protection, visit Nalley Honda for recall work. We provide factory-trained technicians, OEM diagnostic tools, and full recall documentation — schedule service at our Union City service center today.
How long does a 2024 Honda Odyssey recall repair take?
Most recall repairs are completed the same day or within one business day depending on parts availability and campaign complexity. Simple reprogramming or part replacements (for example, software updates, camera replacements, or seat bracket installs) are often quick; more involved engine or fuel-tank replacements may take longer and we will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule appointment. Check our current service specials and call ahead so we can pre-order parts and minimize your wait time.
Does an open recall affect my 2024 Honda Odyssey's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively affect trade-in offers and buyer confidence because dealers and private buyers routinely check NHTSA records and VIN history. Resolving recalls at Nalley Honda documents the repair with the manufacturer, protects resale value, and demonstrates the vehicle was maintained using OEM parts and factory-trained technicians; you can get an appraisal or start a trade process at our trade-in page. Completing recall work also avoids potential insurance or inspection complications that could reduce value.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2024 Honda Odyssey recall?
Some recalls — especially those affecting emissions, lighting, braking, or restraint systems — can cause a vehicle to fail inspection depending on state rules. Because recalls can impact safety or required systems, we advise resolving open campaigns before inspection; Nalley Honda will verify recall status and perform free repairs to help you pass inspections in Georgia and surrounding areas. We also offer service financing to help if non-recall maintenance is needed to meet inspection requirements.
