Frequently Asked Questions

8 common questions answered

What are the known NHTSA recalls for a 2019 Honda Fit?
The NHTSA shows 22 recall entries affecting the 2019 Honda Fit across air bag, fuel pump, driveshaft, transmission, ignition, and ESC systems. Air bag recalls include inflator defects, incorrect installations, and damaged bracket issues that can puncture curtain airbags or rupture inflators. Fuel pump recalls cover a low‑pressure in‑tank pump that can fail and cause engine stalling; Honda will replace affected pumps free of charge. For help identifying which specific recall applies to your vehicle, bring your VIN to Nalley Honda and we will confirm and advise next steps.
How do I check if my 2019 Honda Fit has an open recall?
You can check recalls by entering your VIN on NHTSA.gov or bring the VIN to Nalley Honda and we will check it free. If you prefer, call Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138 or contact Nalley Honda service to verify recall status for your VIN. If you find an open recall, schedule service online with Nalley Honda and we will perform the recall repair at no cost under the manufacturer's program.
How much does a 2019 Honda Fit recall repair cost?
Recall repairs for the 2019 Honda Fit are performed free of charge under the manufacturer's recall program. At Nalley Honda, OEM parts and factory-trained technicians complete the remedy at no cost to the customer—there are no hidden fees for recall work. If you need additional non-recall service, ask about our service specials and service financing so you can get service now and pay later.
Can I get my 2019 Honda Fit recall fixed at an independent shop or do I need a dealer?
Recall repairs should be performed at an authorized franchise dealership such as Nalley Honda to ensure OEM parts and factory procedures are used. Manufacturers and the NHTSA strongly recommend recall fixes at authorized dealers because only they receive official remedy parts, technical bulletins, and warranty support. For verified, free recall repairs and documentation, schedule service with Nalley Honda, your local certified Honda dealer near Union City.
How long does a 2019 Honda Fit recall repair take?
Most recall repairs take from one hour to a few hours, but some inflator or part-replacement remedies may require parts availability and can take longer. Nalley Honda will provide an estimated turnaround when you schedule appointment and can offer loaner options or shuttle service where available. If parts are delayed, we will notify you and can check for interim safety instructions from Honda; check our service specials while you wait.
Does an open recall affect my 2019 Honda Fit's trade-in or resale value?
An unresolved recall can negatively affect trade-in value because many dealers and buyers verify recall history before purchase. Nalley Honda will document completed recall repairs using OEM parts, which protects your vehicle's value and shows buyers the safety issues were addressed. To protect resale value, consider completing recalls before selling; you can start a trade appraisal at our trade-in page.
Can I fail a state inspection because of an unresolved 2019 Honda Fit recall?
Some states may flag safety recalls during inspection or vehicle history checks, so unresolved recalls can complicate registration or inspection outcomes. Addressing recalls at Nalley Honda eliminates that risk and ensures repairs are performed to factory standards with OEM parts. If you need immediate help, schedule service and ask about our service financing so you can get repairs now and pay later.
